No, there are two options. If you have done crossfit before you can be graded out on the Olympic Weightlifting and then start immediately after. Or, you must attend fundamentals, two classes, each one hour long, on Monday and Tuesday night at 7:30pm. The fundamentals for purposes of not overloading the class load is done every OTHER week.
No. The weightlifitng done in crossfit is Olympic Weightlifting which is a functional movement. That means you’re working from your core to extremities. In other words it’s a full body movement not an isolation movement.
We do a fair amount of running throughout the week. If you don’t like to run all I can say is you will learn to at the very minimum tolerate it. Just focus on the long term goal of getting in shape.
